OPEN STANDARDS & DEVELOPERS

A registry you can use, inspect and build on.

Discover publications through public endpoints. Approved publishers can request scoped keys to register works, manage aliases and submit evidence-based ATSS proposals. API field names and identifiers are stable across every interface language.

Assessment proposals enter a separate independent review workflow.

04 / ADMIN

The rules of the registry

One work. One enduring identity.

Each record provides a stable link and structured metadata for citation, cataloguing and preservation.

The existing catalogue remains part of the index

Existing journals, papers and authors retain their identities, metadata and previously recorded ATSS values. Records remain searchable alongside new registrations.

Assessment needs evidence

ATSS scores require evidence, a declared conflict status and independent approval.

Metadata stays portable

Public JSON is available for catalogues, libraries, repositories and independent services.

Mandombe font authorization and limitations

These Mandombe fonts are authorized for web rendering by CENA. This authorization does not permit downloading for independent use, redistribution, alteration, reverse engineering or other analysis. Do not install or use these webfont files as desktop or mobile system fonts.

The supplied webfonts are intended only for this website’s rendering. They are not interchangeable with CENA-approved desktop or mobile font standards. Web rendering necessarily transfers font data to browsers; these conditions govern permitted use but cannot technically prevent copying.

Contact CENA to obtain certified fonts for desktop, mobile or other permitted uses.
